Principal's Message

A Message To Our Westfall Community

Dear Parents/Guardians,

It is my pleasure to extend a warm and heartfelt welcome to you as we begin our 2017-2018 school year. This is my second year at Westfall Elementary. Summer is the time of year to reconnect with old friends and welcome new friends. We at Westfall Elementary are very pleased to welcome everyone to the 2017-2018 school year. To those students and parents new to our school WELCOME! We are proud of our dedicated, experienced staff and enthusiastic learners!

As demands and complexities of teaching children increase, it becomes more evident that we all need to work together to insure that our children reach their potential. We believe that all of us, the school and the community must work together in an extended family environment to insure success for all our students. We believe it is everyone's responsibility to empower children with the creative, intellectual, and decision-making skills necessary for them to become academically, socially, physically, and emotionally successful and responsible.

With that in mind, you are invited to be an active participant at Westfall Elementary. Whether you are a volunteer, or a member of the C.I.A.. you are encouraged to be involved! Research on schools clearly demonstrates that parent participation in their child's school coincides with a greater likelihood of academic success for their child. The start of the school year is a very exciting time for students, parents as well as other staff. To share this excitement, we will be hosting a "Meet the Teacher Night" on Tuesday, August 15" from 5:00-700.

It is our desire to keep you informed of all that is taking place at school. We hope that you will find our website helpful and informative. All of the information we send home con also be found on the website as well as the dates for events and activities in the "calendar' feature of the website.

I am honored to serve as the principal of Westfall Elementary. It is truly a privilege to be a part of a Community where parents, teachers and students care for each other and strive to build positive relationships that Support academic and social growth. We look forward to having a long and rewarding relationship with you and your family. I can be reached at 740-986-4008 or if you have any questions or concerns.

Yours for Children,

Joseph D. Patete
