Does my child qualify for DD Services?

Qualifying for Service

Ages 3-6
Children three to six years of age are eligible for PCBDD services if they have an established risk for a developmental delay OR are assessed as experiencing a delay in at least two of the following categories:

  • Cognitive Development
  • Physical Development (includes vision, hearing, nutrition)
  • Communication Development
  • Social and Emotional Development
  • Adaptive (self-help) Development

Ages 6 or Older
Individuals at least six or older must have a diagnosed developmental disability AND have a substantial functional limitation in at least three of the following categories:

  • Self Care
  • Receptive and Expressive Language
  • Learning
  • Mobility
  • Self-Direction
  • Capacity for Independent Living
  • Economic Self-Sufficiency (ages 16 and up only)

An assessment to determine substantial functional limitations, called the C/OEDI, is completed by a representative from the Service and Support Administration department. For more information regarding eligibility, please contact the Service and Support Administration department at 740-477-3353.
