Our students, the first in Pickaway County to participate in the Ohio Code Scholar program, took a field trip to COSI to celebrate a successful year of robotic design and innovation. Competing against more than 300 students, Westfall earned first place in every category but one, including the Overall Best of Show award.
Congratulations to
Justine Shaw: 1st place in the Paint Job category,
Haley Barry: 1st place in the Wiring/Electronics category,
Lane Musselman: 2nd place in the Wiring/Electronics category,
Lily Danielsson: 1st place in the Creativity category and
Eli Dixon: Best of Show for his Geode droid.
In addition, four seniors earned three College Credit Plus hours through Southern State Community College.
Thank you to Dr. Montgomery and his team at Southern State Community College for providing this incredible opportunity to our Westfall tech team and to advisors Mr. Greenlee, Mrs. Younkin, and Ms. Dixon for their support and leadership. With the Ohio Code Scholar program expected to grow to more than 6,000 students next year, Dr. Montgomery is eager for Westfall to lead the way! We're excited to see what the future holds for our students!
