Shout Out to our ESC Support Staff

This month, Westfall Elementary celebrates our district support staff from the Pickaway County Educational Service Center (ESC) as Staff Members of the Month. Occupational Therapists (OTs), Physical Therapists (PTs), Speech Therapists (STs), and Behavioral Specialists are essential contributors to students' growth and success.

Together, they foster an environment that supports academic achievement and personal development.

School psychologists are instrumental in supporting the mental health and well-being of students. By providing counseling, conducting assessments, and collaborating with educators and parents, they contribute significantly to creating a positive and supportive school climate.

OTs work with students to develop their fine motor skills, sensory processing, and self-regulation, helping them navigate the physical demands of the educational environment. PTs specialize in enhancing students' physical well-being, ensuring they can engage fully in the educational experience. PTs promote students' overall health and wellness through targeted exercises and activities.

STs work alongside educators to identify and address communication challenges, providing personalized interventions that improve students' ability to express themselves clearly and understand others. Behavioral Specialists are crucial in creating a positive and conducive atmosphere within a school setting.

They work with students, teachers, and parents to identify and address behavioral challenges, promoting social-emotional development. The presence of these specialists in a school district is essential for creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment.

Collaboration between these professionals contributes to a support system that empowers students to thrive academically and socially. We thank these professionals who provide our students with this personalized support, helping them achieve their full potential and build the foundation for lifelong success.
