On Wednesday of Spirit Week, we wear PINK at Westfall!

Mr. Miller's Current Issues students have been busy researching stocks, analyzing graphs and news reports, and purchasing their first stocks in the Stock Market Game.
SIFMA Foundation's Stock Market Game is a nationwide initiative that allows students to learn financial terminology and apply it in a long-term investment simulation, where they invest a virtual $100,000 of mock funds through a portfolio of stocks, bonds, and mutual funds.
The goal is to create a diversified investment portfolio consisting of stocks, bonds, and mutual funds to enhance the value of the virtual portfolio through real-time buying and selling of securities on the NYSE and NASDAQ stock exchanges. Throughout the school year, students monitor their investments using an app on their smartphones and adjust their portfolios to maximize their returns.
Mr. Miller's Current Issues class has held the record for winning the Stock Market Game for five consecutive years, and the students in his class are on track toward another victory!
