The Westfall Local School District Calendar for the 2022-2023 school year was recently approved by the Board of Education


The ACT will be administered to the entire JUNIOR class on March 1. All Juniors (on-campus, online, or attending Pickaway Ross) must arrive at WHS by 7:30 AM, ready to take the state-funded ACT. Grades 9, 10 & 12 will have a Digital Learning Day and check their Google Classroom to complete their daily assignments.

Mrs. Yeager's Food Science class created ramen recipes this week. Students were given a variety of ingredients from Japan and tasked with making their own meal. One group breaded tofu and made a spicy garlic sauce with scrambled eggs and green onions. The result was amazing!

Our FFA students visited Mr. Bullock's 8th-grade Science class to introduce Agricultural Education and guide a hands-on science lab, where our budding researchers extracted DNA from a strawberry.

DARE Officer Pete Bowers introduced six high school students to the 7th-grade class to have open conversations on the benefits of staying drug-free and the importance of valuing yourself, choosing your friends wisely and representing yourself in a positive way. Thank you to Josh Poole, Grace Johnson, Summer Hanson, Ashton Nunemaker, Bailee Thomas, and Steven Layton for being positive role models for our students!

Mrs. Yeager's Food Science class learned how to make Alfredo sauce from scratch! A simple and delicious recipe that's easy to make at home!

Mr. Greenlee's Chemistry class has been learning about chemical compounds and ionic equations between metals and nonmetals. In this lab, his students used Double Replacement Reactions to show the solubility of ionic compounds by looking for a change in composition to show that a reaction has occurred. If a reaction occurred, they saw a change in color or a precipitate form.

Students in Mrs. Link's classroom are making pony bead hearts for residents at the local nursing homes as a special Valentine's Day surprise!
