The creativity and talent of our art students were on full display this spring, with several young artists earning the honor of having their work exhibited in prestigious art shows across Central Ohio.
Sixth grader Madison Fausnaugh had her magazine collage selected for the Young People’s Art Exhibition, a juried showcase celebrating outstanding student work. Her piece was exhibited at Riverside Methodist Hospital alongside a Youth Art Month flag design by seventh grader Amanda Storey, whose vibrant and thoughtful creation also earned a place in the display.
Meanwhile, eighth graders Chloe Moore and Christian Jago, along with sixth grader Connor Barrowman, had their artwork chosen for the Central Ohio Art Education Association’s regional exhibition. Chloe's detailed dragon drawing and Christian's dynamic football helmet illustration were standouts, capturing both imagination and skill.
In addition to individual recognitions, our seventh-grade students showcased their creative cardboard shoe sculptures, demonstrating their creativity through three-dimensional designs. A collaborative mural—inspired by contemporary artist Thank You X—was completed by students across multiple grade levels. The school year concluded with a colorful display of paintings from the popular “Art Fun” guided session, led by art teacher Mrs. Cline.
Congratulations to all the young artists for sharing their vision and talent! Great job, Mustangs!
