As a testing incentive, Mrs. Kemp and Mrs. Rader's fifth-grade classes enjoyed an outdoor obstacle course organized by our occupational therapists, Mrs. Conley and Miss Minor! Working as teams, the classes competed with activities using strength, stability, and endurance.
The Easter Bunny made a stop at Westfall Elementary last week! Our students had an egg-cellent time hunting eggs in the beautiful weather, and several lucky winners found golden eggs to win prizes! Thank you to our incredible Student Council for sponsoring this event!

CURRENT Kindergarten Families: The end of the school year will look a little different! Due to the screening process for prospective 2023-2024 kindergarten students, the last day of school for all current kindergarten students will be Thursday, May 25, at regular dismissal time.

Prior to their performance last night, the 2nd-graders presented their music program, "Sun Wishes," to the elementary students and did a fantastic job! Kudos to Miss Wynkoop for organizing another successful show!

The Pickaway County Educational Service Center (ESC), in partnership with parentguidance.org, is hosting a Zoom-based educational series led by licensed therapists on the 4th Tuesday of each month.
April's meeting focuses on Substance Use & Vaping. Families can gain resources to ask the right questions, spot the basic signs, and learn to communicate with children about the dangers of substance use and vaping.

Mrs. Patterson's 5th-grade art class explored Chuck Close, an American artist known for combining geometric shapes, color, and value to create mosaic portraits. Inspired by this creative style, students painted kindness rocks to celebrate him in our rock garden.

The 2nd graders are so excited to present their music program tomorrow night at 7:00pm! Doors open at 6:30pm. Students are asked to get there at 6:40pm and can report to their classrooms while families can find a seat in the cafeteria. They have worked so hard and we know you will really enjoy their performance!
Time is running out to order a yearbook! The deadline is Monday, April 10. You can order online at ybpay.com with the ID # 14021923 or send in an order form with cash or check payment. Order forms are also available in the front office. Online ordering will close on April 10th, but because that is a day off of school, paper order forms will be accepted on April 11th.
GREAT NEWS! THE MOBILE DENTIST IS COMING BACK!
Our school has again collaborated with Smile Programs, the Mobile Dentists, to offer in-school dental care. The Mobile Dentists will visit Westfall Elementary School for the second time on May 22 and May 23, 2023. During this visit, they will offer restorative treatment (i.e., cavity fillings, etc.)
